Hello STEP Community,
Thank you to all of our volunteers that have come out to volunteer over the last month. You have made a huge impact at STEP and in our military community. We could not do what we do without YOU! This update includes our holiday volunteer opportunities, can you believe it is that time of year already? We are so excited about all the exciting events coming up and we hope you will join us!
Below you will find opportunities through the end of the year, we may add additional events and will send out updates as needed. If you would like to volunteer for an event, please respond to this email so we can add you to the list. Please note: All events are held at our office located at 9915 Businesspark Ave., Suite A, San Diego 92131 unless otherwise noted.
HOLIDAY VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
November 2: Come help us prepare as we STEP into the Holidays! We are looking for 8-10 volunteers to help with packaging food bags, preparing for our Thanksgiving Meal distribution, Toy Drive, and preparing Santa's Workshop for our holiday distribution from 9:30a-12:30p at our office.
November 4: Come help us get ready for our Holiday distributions! We are looking for 8-10 volunteers to assist with packing our distribution bags with donations and prepare them to be distributed. We will also be preparing for our Thanksgiving Meal distribution, Toy Drive, and preparing Santa's Workshop for our holiday distribution. This event will take place from 9:30a-12:30p at our office.

November 20: STEP Distribution Day - Thanksgiving Drive Through Parade! We are looking for 5-7 volunteers to assist with the distribution, we will be hosting a drive-through fun-filled event for 200 families and we need your help!
November 22: We need your help dropping off bins for our Toy Drive! We need 4-6 volunteers to help us drop off our bins at designated businesses within our local community. You will use STEP vehicles to take the bins to our community partners. This event will run from 9a-1:00p.
November 23: We need your help dropping off our toy bins from around the community at designated businesses! Volunteers will use STEP vehicles to take the bins to our community partners and pick up donations. We need 4-6 volunteers, this event will run from 9a-1:00p.
November 30: We need your help dropping off bins for our Toy Drive! We need 4-6 volunteers to help us drop off our bins at designated businesses within our local community. You will use STEP vehicles to take the bins to our community partners. This event will run from 9a-1:00p.
December 2: We need your help dropping off bins for our Toy Drive and Santa's Workshop! We need 4-6 volunteers to help us drop off our bins at designated businesses within our local community. You will use STEP vehicles to take the bins to our community partners. This event will run from 9a-1:00p.

December 9: Oh the weather outside is frightful (ok maybe not in San Diego), but volunteering is so delightful...Can you come and help us pick up our toy bins? We are looking for 4-6 volunteers for this event and you will use. STEP vehicles to pick up the bins from 9:00a-1:00p

December 14: Would you like to help spread the holiday spirit? Join us in our warehouse putting together donated gifts for our military families. We are looking for 6-8 volunteers from 9a-1:00p.

December 16: We are wrapping up the details for our holiday distribution, come and join the fun! We are looking for 6-8 volunteers from 9a-1:00p.
December 17: STEP Distribution Day - Holiday Drive Through Parade! We are looking for 5-7 volunteers to assist with the distribution, we will be hosting a drive-through fun-filled event for 200 families and we need your help! Come and share in the fun!
December 18: Ready to share some joy? We will be distributing gifts, food, diapers, and more to 200 military families at our Drive Through Parade. We are looking for 4-6 volunteers for this event. We will meet you at 8:30a and the event will run from 10:00a-1p
These events tend to fill up quickly so if you would like to volunteer please sign up and then email tracy.owens@stepsocal.org with the date and event you are interested in supporting!
We welcome you to bring your water bottle (if you have one), as we have a water bottle refill station available for your use. Please dress comfortably and wear closed-toe shoes. Hope to see you at one of our events soon!
