I hope you are staying safe and healthy during these uncertain times! As you may have seen our team has shifted to remote work in the interim. We will continue to serve our military families through scheduled appointments as many of them need STEP's help now more than ever. During the global pandemic, we need our service members mission-ready, not wondering whether their spouse can get toilet paper or if their baby has enough diapers. In the midst of this chaos, we ask you to remember the sacrifices of our young sailors and soldiers.
I am sure many of you are also facing uncertainty and changes in your workplace. I wanted to reach out and give you a quick update on our Baby Drive program.
It's still happening! Baby Drive has not been canceled, we encourage you to ask your friends and colleagues to continue to collect hygiene items, wipes, new/gently used clothing, and other essential items for our military families. We ask that you please do so in a safe and conscious way while still following the CDC's guidelines on social distancing. With all the time at home, this is a great opportunity to Marie Kondo the kids' toys and clothing!
Baby Drive Drop-Off at STEP: Currently, STEP is accepting donation drop-offs by appointment only. Our doors are not open to the general public. Please email tracie.winn@stepsocal.org if you are interested in this option.
Baby Drive Pick-Up: We are offering donation pick-ups this week between 10 AM and 2 PM for Baby Drive items only. Please email tracie.winn@stepsocal.org if you are interested in this option.
Baby Drive Extension: We understand this is a busy time in order to continue to support our families in need we will be extending the Baby Drive to mid-April. We hope your group continues to collect during this time.
