Thanksgiving Food Drive

Every year STEP hosts a Thanksgiving Distribution. The holidays can feel overwhelming on an already tight budget. We are here to STEP in and help offset the extra costs so our military

and Veteran families

can enjoy the holidays!

"If it weren't for the meal provided by STEP, my family wouldn't have had a Thanksgiving Dinner this year."

FAQ's

What is a virtual food drive?
A virtual food drive is an opportunity for you to shop online for Thanksgiving basics. Your donation will give our military families the Thanksgiving they deserve.

What is the benefit of a virtual drive?
Financial donations are convenient for the donor and for STEP. It allows us to purchase what’s needed in bulk at reduced rates. That means your donation makes a greater impact.

What if I don't want to use the virtual store?

STEP will gratefully accept your monetary, gift card, and nonperishable food donation to help military and Veteran families.  To make a monetary donation, click this link. To donate gift cards or nonperishable foods, please drop them off at our Scripps Ranch office between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.  We’re located at 9915 Businesspark Ave, Suite A, San Diego, CA 92131.

*For questions regarding Washington State, please contact kia.thompson@teamstepusa.org

How do you decide who receives food?

Great question. This program is limited to E1-E6, recently discharged Veterans up to 18 months of separation, and their families. Priority is placed on E5 and below, and on families that have never been adopted before.

Can I see where our donations go?
STEP will be hosting a Thanksgiving Parade for our clients to pick up their meals in their decorated vehicles. The photos and videos will be posted across all social media platforms @teamstepusa in November. Stay tuned for updates.

How else can I help?
Help us spread the word about our Thanksgiving Drive by sharing information with your family, friends, and coworkers.
