From January 2016 through August 2016, Support the Enlisted Project (STEP) participated in a multi-phase research workshop called Project Impact. The eight-month program offered training in innovative data collection techniques specifically calibrated for non-profit and community-based organizations. STEP and the Project Impact team worked closely and collaboratively to develop a comprehensive research program to assess the quality of the impact we are having for our clients and their families and communities. This report summarizes our efforts and outlines our main findings.

Our team worked hard to make this research project a success, but we would not have been able to capitalize on these efforts if it weren’t for the hard work and generosity of many others. Specifically, we would like to thank:
The Gumpert Foundation, The Leichtag Foundation, Shelby Ross, Steve McClelland, STEP Board of Directors, and STEP’s former clients who agreed to be interviewed and/or returned our questionnaire. We would also like to thank Steve Patty and Jessamyn Luiz for their support and guidance th...Read more

Tony Teravainen appeared on The American Dream hosted by Consumer Activist, Craig Sewing. This segment of The American Dream, Tony and Stephanie Brown of The Rosie Network Discuss the MAD MEN event being held at The Midway Museum. This collaboration of STEP and Rosie's Network is just another great example that STEP is reaching out into the community to find partners to ally with to raise not only funds but more importantly, awareness of what programs are available to the military community.

STEP would like to introduce the 2015 Volunteer of the Year! Thank you Don for all that you do to support our young military families on their path to financial self-sufficiency. There aren't enough words to thank you for donating 511 hours of your own time to help STEP follow through on our mission!

It is because of our volunteers that STEP is able to make the difference in a young military family's life. Over 7,123 hours were donated by 73 volunteers last year. STEP cannot say thank you enough for all of the difference every one has made! Thank you to the STEP team for pulling off such a wonderful event for our volunteers, to the Teravainen's for opening their home, and to Phil's BBQ for the amazing food!
This was another event that we were all able to come together as a "family" to support the wonderful people that donate their time to help STEP carry the mission of help young military families. It was such a blast to meet each others significant others as well as all of the children playing, laughing, and running around with each other.
